CHITRA POURNAMI FESTIVAL 23-04-2024 - SHINE

On April 23, 2024 Chitra Pournami Pooja was conducted at shine children home.Chitra Pournami is a well-known Hindu festival celebrated on the 1st full Moon day of Chithirai. This auspicious day is dedicated to Lord Chitragupta, who keeps the records of good and bad karmas of person.

We celebrate Chitra Pournami when the Sun is exalted in the Aries sign, and the Moon is in the Libra, facing towards the bright star, Chitra. In this auspicious day in home we bring Durga idol and performing

The Paal Kudam (Milk Offering) offering done by children and mothers. The Paal Kudam means carrying paal (milk) in a kudam (vessels in the form of a pot) which is usually kept and carried on the head, to be offered to Durga.

This milk will then be used by the priest to perform Paal Abhishegam. After that persist performing anointing with different divine things. After that all children, mothers, staff and guest singing devotional songs and make the puja more auspicious. Due to this puja we can maintain a positive vibe and feel a blessing from goddess.
